Online Professional Development from CALPRO in Real-Time

Posted on 04/19/2010

Teaching Critical Thinking, Managed Enrollment, and Advising the Adult Learner: The Teacher's Role are the topics of three new professional development workshops offered online, in real time, from The California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO). Registration is now open for these three-hour, interactive workshops, each of which is facilitated by an adult education subject-area expert and delivered in segments of 90 minutes or less. The training requires no travel expenses or registration fees and is open to all adult literacy providers working in programs that receive funding from WIA Title II federal grants or California state apportionment. To participate, all you need is a computer with a high-speed Internet connection and a telephone to join a toll-free teleconference. Every participant completing the online workshop will receive a certificate of attendance, stating the number of hours of the web-based training.

Registration is limited and enrollment is based on a first-come, first-registered basis. For registration and additional information, go to the May Event Calendar on the CALPRO Web site and click on the title of the online workshop.
