LAES has developed a series of immigrant issue instructional modules entitled "Tierra de Oportunidad" for orientation to our complex society.
MODULES
LAES modules address four domains:
Promoting Community Participation
Each LAES module has the following components:
- Overview - rationale for addressing the issue.
- Basic Skills Development - SCANS competencies to be emphasized.
- Teaching Points - general information on the topic.
- Sample Learning Activities - suggested teaching strategies.
- Resources Checklist - primary documentation about the topic.
- Sample Lesson Plan and Handouts - detailed lesson plan and handouts.
