Furthering the Discussion - Achieving Student Success: Transitions to Post-secondary Education Webcast Dialogue

Many of you may have participated in the National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)
Webcast “Achieving Student Success: Transitions to Post-secondary Education” which was held on January 20, 2010.  During the discussion, which was hosted by Daniel Miller, Acting Director of NIFL, participants explored successful student transitions and discussed current research in the field.

As a follow up to the webcast, there will be a discussion with the original presenters, scheduled for this week, March 1, 2010. The discussion will be hosted on the Transitions list. The presenters will include:

  • Jeffrey Fantine, State Director of Adult Education, Maine
  • Julie Scoskie, Director, Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education, Louisville, Kentucky
  • Ronna Spacone, Education Program Specialist, U. S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education
