Adult Numeracy Network (ANN) is pleased to announce the Practitioner Research grantee for 2009 - 2010. Nina Liebler of Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA is the recipient of this prestigious award. Nina will address the question, "Can changing students attitudes toward fractions help students be successful in performing rational number operations in Algebra/Geometry?" She will conduct her research in her own classroom and will present her findings at the ANN Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL on March 16, 2010.
ANN is also sporting a new Web site funded in part by National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Mathematics Education Trust.
