The CAELA Network is a project of The Center for Adult English Language Acquisition (CAELA). CAELA's mission is to help states build their capacity to promote English language learning and academic achievement of adults learning English. It is funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE), U.S. Department of Education.  Among CAELA's stated tasks are to build state capacity for improving the skills of teachers and administrators in adult ESL programs and to provide technical assistance to those working with adult ESL learners throughout the U.S.
