Symposium Schedule Now Online!

Posted on 01/16/2009

The Technology and Distance Learning Symposium is only a month away! We already have over 100 teachers, administrators and presenters registered, and we can accommodate up to 200, so register now! The workshop and keynote schedule is now posted on the Symposium site, so you can see what workshops are available on each day. There are strands for Distance Learning, Technology Integration, Administrators, ABE, ESL, and ASE, as well as sessions for CTE and Parent Education. In addition to pre-sessions on Tuesday and keynote addresses on Wednesday and Thursday, there will be a networking lunch on Wednesday, February 18, where participants will be able to network with like program areas about curriculum, course management, data collection, or any other issues.

While there are topics of interest for all strands on all three days, Feb. 18 is more focused on Distance Learning, and Feb. 19 has more workshops on Technology Integration in the classroom. Please share the Symposium flyer with your staff and colleagues, and register now to help us with planning.

For those who cannot travel in this time of budget challenges, some sessions will be available as video streams or audio podcasts after the Symposium, and some sessions will be available live through online videoconferencing. Participants will be able to hear the presenters, see the slides, and type questions into the chat box that will be delivered to the presenters. Information on these options will be posted on the Symposium site as it becomes available.
